Getting Art Printed on Metal
I found a company that will print art onto metal, BooksmartStudio According to their site they will print sizes from 8.5″ x 11″ up to 20″ x 84″. That’s big.
I’m sure there are a number of artists that would like to have their art on metal like the old time advertising signs or tintype photos. This could be an option for them.

Hey this is pretty cool. I will let me art students know about this, we have a lot of artists that like the whole retro thing, I am sure some of them would love having their drawings or paintings on an old time metal sign motif!

Cool. The size will definitely be big enough for a double plate tintype which is about 8 1/2 by 13.
They say on the site that it will “…accept most popular inkjet printer inks.” Obviously it couldn’t work on the standard printer like mine that folds up the paper, but it sounds pretty interesting.
It also goes on to say you have to overcoat the metal with a Clearstar coating after you print it out and that it could get expensive. It’s probably still cheaper than the real wet plate process, though. Thanks for the heads up.
